Internet Relay Chat - IRC, is a simple chat protocol created in 1988 by Jarkko Oikarinena from Finland, as part of his PhD thesis. Despite it's simplicity and age, to this day it has a non-zero number of users.

Port: 6667 (plaintext), 6697 (TLS)
A Matrix bridge is also available: /join #irc_#channelname:matrix.kcir.pwr.edu.pl.
ChanServ, NickServ and HostServ services are available.
